Sergeant Marcus was one of Admiral Atticus Noble's soldiers who arrived on Veldt to demand their harvest. He was portrayed by Greg Kriek in A Child of Fire.
A sergeant's patch can be seen under his pauldron, however, unlike Faunus, a clear view is never seen.
Biography
"What if I shoot you instead, huh? I could kill you right now. No one would care, would they? What do you say? Wanna die?"
Marcus, A Child of Fire

Marcus was a soldier under Faunus' command aboard the King's Gaze. When Admiral Atticus Noble, commander of the Imperial dreadnought headed down to the surface of Veldt, Faunus' unit was tasked with joining him. They were given equipment and left to hold the Veldtian farming village for ten weeks while they waited for the wheat harvest. In the meantime, the King's Gaze would continue along its mission to find the Bloodaxe insurgents. He was the only soldier under Faunus who Cassius noted by name,[2] and was one of the two soldiers with a sergeant's patch alongside his commanding sergeant, Faunus.

Marcus was excited to find that Noble had left the team a Jimmy to help with the manual labor and he fired his weapon at the machine to demonstrate that it wouldn't fight back. This aggressive nature continued that evening, when he kidnapped Sam, however, Kora revealed herself to stop him. She took down his fellow soldiers and shot Marcus' rifle from his hands as he attempted to fire on her. She lept up against his chest and fired her Guardian Gun into his head, killing him.[3]
