Significant events
January
- 6 - WWE announced Vince McMahon had rejoined their Board of Directors. McMahon had previously retired from WWE on July 22, 2022 amid a board investigation of sexual misconduct and hush money allegations. WWE confirmed the investigation wrapped up in November, 2022. Despite his retirement, McMahon retained majority voting power due to his ownership of WWE Class B stock. This leverage of ownership of WWE Class B stock gave McMahon the ability to return.
- 10 - Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from WWE after serving as Co-CEO and Chairwoman of WWE's Board of Directors. Shortly afterwards WWE announced that the Board of Directors unanimously elected Vince McMahon as the Board's Executive Chairman and Nick Khan would serve as CEO.
April
- 3 - WWE is sold to Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. who also owns Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Endeavor plans to merge WWE and the UFC.
September
- 12 - The merger between WWE and the UFC is completed with the new publicly traded company named TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (TKO).
- 21 - WWE released Aliyah, Shelton Benjamin, Rick Boogs, Dana Brooke, Elias, Mace, Mansoor, Riddick Moss, Shanky, Top Dolla, Dolph Ziggler, Emma, Dabba-Kato, Quincy Elliott, Ikemen Jiro, Yulisa Leon, Brooklyn Barlow, Alexis Gray, Daniel McArthur, and Kevin Ventura-Cortes.
