Ginger

Ginger (ジンジャー)^? is a character from Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure. He was Rosemary, Fennel, and Cinnamon's master, and the leader of the Cook Fighters.

Bio

Appearance

Ginger has a red and white cat helmet. His eyes are blue with light yellow scleras. He wears a cream colored coat that reaches his knees, that has a gold trim and buttons, and a red collar, shoulder pads and cuffs. Under this is a black shirt with two bone buttons. His arms are covered with big red cat paws. Ginger's pants are white with a dark red belt. His shoes are big, red, and shaped like cat paws with a green diamond at the top and a gold trim.

Personality

Ginger was very playful and loved acting like a cat. He did, however take his job as a Cook Fighter very seriously. He cares about everyone.

Relationships

Nagomi Yone: Ginger stayed at Yone's house while he was visiting Oishiina Town. She looked after him, and on the day of his departure, she gave him some advice which cleared his mind.
Rosemary: His apprentice. He gets along with Rosemary, to the point that he doesn't mind Rosemary treating him like an actual cat.
Cinnamon: His apprentice. Due to Cinnamon's abilities, he favors Cinnamon the most, and was originally going to pass his own Delicious Stone down to him.
Fennel: His first apprentice. Fennel and Ginger have a close relationship, but as time passes, Ginger begins to favor him less, which leads to Fennel to becoming jealous, and walking down an evil path.

Etymology

Ginger is a thickened pungent stem that is used as a spice.^[1]

History

Many years ago, Ginger adopted Fennel as his first apprentice, where they formed a close relationship. However, after he took in Cinnamon and Rosemary, he deemed Cinnamon as the best Cook Fighter. However, a few years later, he gave Fennel and Rosemary a half of his Delicious Stone after Cinnamon was exiled from CooKingdom.

20 years prior to the season, Ginger, along with Kome-Kome I, Pam-Pam and Mem-Mem, arrived at Oishiina Town to create the Hoka-Hoka Heart Accumulator. He was taken in by Nagomi Yone after he collapsed, and they became friends. Determined to protect all the food and friends of this world, Ginger and the Energy Fairies used their powers to create the Hoka-Hoka Heart Accumulator, where he witnessed the sacrifice of Kome-Kome I before returning to CooKingdom.^DPPC38 He then passed away and is never seen again.

Despite his passing, Ginger's words and thoughts are still influential through the lucky cats placed in Oishiina Town, and he gives the Cures wise encouragement as a hologram before he leaves.^DPPC44 He reappears one last time through the giant lucky cat before disappearing again.^DPPC45
