Top Class was a reality-survival show that broadcasted on TV5.
The show's first episode broadcasted on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 5:00 PM (PHT) and ran every Saturday with 10 episodes in total.
The final episode aired on August 20, 2022 where the final top 5 contestants were announced.
Background
On March 1, 2022 it was announced that the show would have a partnership from Cornerstone Entertainment, Kumu and TV5 network.[1] On March 20, the audition for the show opened via the Kumu app.[2]
On March 9, Cornerstone Entertainment held a live press conference via Cornerstone Ent’s Official YouTube channel. On the same day, it was announced that Catriona Gray will be the host of the upcoming show. On March 28, 2022 it was announced that KZ Tandingan will be the vocal mentor.[3] On April 8, 2022, Shanti Dope a rapper-songwriter was announced as the show’s rap mentor.[4] The last mentor was revealed on April 20, 2022 through the official SNS account of Top Class, it is Brian Puspos who will be the dance mentor of the show.[5]
On April 30, 2022, it was announced that the audition for the show had closed.[6]
On May 7, 2022, it was announced that Albie Casiño and Yukiii Takahashi will host the show with Catriona Gray as the main host of the show.
On June 1, 2022 the Official poster for the show was posted on the official social media accounts of Top Class.
On June 6, 2022 the first batch was revealed through Top Class’s SNS account. The next day, a sneak peek video of the show was posted on Top Class’s SNS account. On the same day, the second batch was revealed. On June 8, the third batch was revealed. On June 9, 2022 the fourth batch was revealed. The next day, the fifth and last batch was revealed.
