He is a fairly gentle character among the main characters in the story, so he rarely gets angry. The following are some of the instances where he gets angry:
The Dragon comes to town: He, the boys, and Harry thought The Dragon had eaten Petty, and he was the only one of them who got angry at The Dragon directly (the rest were all scared).
Strange Games: When Eddy answered The Shark's question with number 1, 'Polar Bear', Poby couldn't stand it anymore and got angry at Eddy.
Ironically, however, Poby never gets angry at Harry due to his personality, and instead, Harry often speaks to Poby in an angry tone.
Also, when most of the main characters get angry at one, Poby just watches with a frustrated face instead of getting angry. This is especially emphasized in two episodes, Watch out, Eddy! and Transformer Troubles, where Eddy drives a bulldozer dangerously, causing the Gang to get angry at Eddy all at once, except Poby, and in the latter, Eddy disguised as Pororo plays a mischievous prank on his friends, who get fooled and angry, while Poby just lightly consoles Pororo.
Whenever Poby listens to music on his phonograph, he mostly listens to classical music.
In the Polish dubbing of the series, his name was changed to "Tobik".
His birthday is on September 14, as evidenced by the episode "Poby's Birthday".
In the sing-along series, he can also play the drums (most episodes), the cornet (Season 2, "Hahaha Hohoho" only), and the French horn (Season 2 (HD remake), "Hahaha Hohoho" only).
In the episode "A Snowy Day", he can also play the ukulele.
In season 1, he has front teeth similar to the shape of Loopy's when he opens his mouth.
Poby has a crush on both Petty and Loopy.
Whenever Poby appears, his character theme music includes a kind-hearted woodwind or clarinet melody, as in the Season 1 and 2 episodes.
In some episodes, he is referred to as just a bear. In other episodes, he is referred to as a polar bear.
He is the second character to break the fourth wall. The first one was Pororo.
In "Got a Cold?", it is revealed that he has Trypanophobia (scared of injections).

Poby is one of the four characters who spoiled the air, the rest are Crong, Pororo and Loopy.
He is one of the nicest members of the gang, alongside Loopy.
Like Zanmang Loopy, Poby also has his own spin-off: Big Poby (Or, Poby Big).
His future aspirations, as depicted in the ending of Season 4, are to become a painter, similar to spin-off Pororo Singalong.
