This Hisuian Zoroark is a Normal/Ghost-type Pokémon that Alec met in the Alabaster Forest as a Zorua during his youth.
Biography
As Zorua
Zorua was seen practicing its illusion powers when it was sneaked up on by a curious Alec wearing his Baneful Fox mask. It became instinctively afraid of Alec and thought the boy was going to attack it, even though Alec was merely amused by its attempts to scare him off. Eventually, Zorua pounced onto Alec as a last ditch attempt to defend itself, only to cause both of them to tumble down the mountain and fall off a cliff; they were both amazed by the panoramic view from above before realizing that they were descending at high speed.
After hurtling from the cliff, Zorua and Alec were stuck. For the first time, Zorua realized not all humans are bad when it saw Alec's vulnerable tears. Even though Alec let it go for it to climb to its safety, Zorua still decided to bring him back some leeks to heal his wound. Soon enough, Zorua and Alec became fast friends. However, when Zorua accompanied Alec to return to Alec's father, the man demonstrated hostility toward it, as he believed that the young Spiteful Fox Pokémon would harm his son. Soon, Zorua's family showed up, and under its family's pressure, Zorua was forced to return to them and disappeared afterward.
As Zoroark
Years later, Zorua evolved into Zoroark, but it still had never forgotten about Alec. When a space-time distortion appeared and a rampaging Alpha Garchomp was about to attack Alec and the security corps, Zoroark unleashed its illusions to rescue Alec and frightened the Garchomp away. Before it departed, it returned Alec's mask to him.

- Unlike the promotional material with the usual coloring, this Zorua was depicted as a Shiny Pokémon.
- Alec's father crafted a mask for his son in the coloring of Hisuian Zoroark's shiny form.
- The mask was distributed as a Mystery Gift for players in Pokémon Legends: Arceus from June 22 till May 31, 2023.
