Fire Geysers are hazards in every game of the Pikmin series. They consist of a hole in the ground that shoots out a stream of fire every several seconds.
Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 4 are the only games where fire geysers can be destroyed. This is possible to do with any Pikmin type, so long as the fire geyser is not emitting fire. Due to their imposing strength, Purple Pikmin can destroy fire geysers quicker than the other Pikmin. Since they have fire resistance, Red Pikmin and Bulbmin are the only types of Pikmin that can attack fire geysers when active. In Pikmin 3, Fire Geysers cannot be seen unless when they are active.
