The CROSSROADS are a location in OMORI.
DESCRIPTION
The CROSSROADS are a replica of FARAWAY TOWN but littered with pinwheels. Heading down the south, east, or west roads leads to a different time variant of the CROSSROADS: in order, day, dusk/dawn, and night. To the north is a path that leads to an overlook with the curtains from the piano room in SUNNY'S HOUSE. It is implied that they are MARI, who will comfort him when he enters the area. When the time is day, heading to the west pursuing MEWO leads you through all the times and finally brings you to a replica of SUNNY's home street.
Knocking on doors will lead to nothing and knocking on KEL's HOUSE will tell you that "KEL and HERO aren't home right now." If one tries to leave the replicated street, a disembodied voice will say "Your acknowledgement of the truth has come at a great cost... but it is not too late for redemption. Fortunately... you still know the way back home." This prevents you from returning to the infinitely looping area.
Inside SUNNY'S HOUSE, the home appears as it did before the day of the recital. Interacting with any of the items will result in SUNNY remarking on fond memories of his friends and his old life.
STORY
After BASIL slashes SUNNY's right eye during their fight, he blacks out, and awakens in the CROSSROADS. If he heads down the roads until the time is switched to day, a vision of MEWO appears and leads him to a copy of his home's street, where a vision of BASIL will warmly greet him, welcoming him "back home." He apologizes to SUNNY for causing trouble and says that whenever he tries to help people, he causes even more issues. He tells SUNNY that although he wants to say that things will be fine and that they must move on, he knows that is ultimately up to SUNNY himself. He reminds him that AUBREY, KEL, and HERO are their good friends and that SUNNY and BASIL must trust that they will forgive them. He tells SUNNY to keep the PHOTO ALBUM close and remember that those memories are what he is fighting for. He finally reiterates that it's up to SUNNY to move on before hugging SUNNY and leaving.
In SUNNY'S HOUSE, MARI can be found in the piano room, playing her piano. Talking to her, she will tell SUNNY that it's time for him to own up to what he's done and that she knows he will forgive himself before cheering him on and telling him that she will always be watching over him. After this, the door to the storage closet will appear. Upon entering, SUNNY can interact with the toy box, finding his smashed violin and sheet music. After this, MARI and MEWO will have disappeared, and leaving the house will bring SUNNY to MEMORY LANE.
