Venom! is the 17th issue of Legacy edition of the Ninjago Magazine. It includes 112217 Kai vs. Boa Destructor.
Snakes in the Sand
Kai is sent on a mission to the Sea of Sand to investigate the new Serpentine threat. Suddenly, he is attacked by Cobra Mechanic and Boa Destructor, who kidnap Kai to their base, wanting to lock him in a cell. Kai jumps away before being locked up and starts fighting a whole group of snake warriors using Spinjitzu. However, Kai, after being hit by Boa Destructor, escapes to a room with various stolen artifacts, when he sits down to rest for a moment, the Sacred Flute falls on him from the closet, Kai remembers how the Flute worked on snakes and tries to use it to defeat the Snake Warriors. However, it turns out that the Sacred Flute is not real and does not work on Serpentine. Kai runs to a bucket of water and remembers how during the fight with Aspheera they used water to fight the Elemental Cobras, then takes the bucket and pours water on the Snake Warriors, but it does nothing. Then Kai notices the Pause Time Blade in the chest and remembering how Acronix and Krux used it, he goes and tries to stop the snakes in time, but as it turns out, the blade is also a replica built by the Snake Warriors, which is why it doesn't work. Kai decides to build a weapon from random elements that strengthen his spinjitzu. Kai defeats the Snake Warriors and goes deep into the desert to defeat the others.

Trivia
- It is unknown where exactly do the events of the comic take place, as it only claims to be happening after Season 11, but there are some reasons to include it between Seabound and Crystalized, specifically between Great Droids Think Alike and Bad Water!:
- The comic came out in the same month as Great Droids Think Alike.
- Ninjago: Core sets in which snake warriors are present as a villainous faction, also came out in the same time period.
- The comic does not contradict the series, so it can be considered canon, although it doesn't actually give the answer where did the snake warriors come from.
- This is the first appearance of the snake warriors in Ninjago.
- The snake warriors' plans are unknown but for some reason they are creating non-functional replicas of ancient artifacts.
