Carlo

Carlo is the man wearing a golden necklace who ran away with Blue, a woman who lived at the foot of Junk Heap. He tells Blue to abandon her children and head towards a new haven, maybe out of his young, reckless and ambitious personality. He has no love for Blue’s children. Despite their efforts however, they were both killed by the malfunctioning Defense System Geppetto.

During the Quest The Despicable Man, it was revealed that Carlo was actually cheating on multiple woman such as the wife of one of the Forest of Myth residents, a woman from Seafront and a woman from Nier's Village Who still believed he would come back for them, heavily implying he was also planning to do the same with Blue. He was also revealed to have been a swindler due to selling counterfeit merchandise in Seafront. Once Nier and his friends learn he was the same man whose corpse they found five years ago, they decide it was best not to tell Gideon due to his worsening sanity and told the woman in Nier's village about his death.
