Tanaka (田中) is a student of Tokisadame Highschool with an afro. His afro is in fact a wig, and it is often used to store his school supplies or food. He is friends with Tsuyoshi Nakanojou and it is implied that he has a younger sister.
Appearance
Tanaka has straight black hair, but he likes to wear an afro wig where he puts dorayaki inside his afro and his eyes are black.
He is usually seen wearing a black school uniform or a white shirt.

Like Nakanojou, he also attends class 1-Q.

Tanaka is a kind, yet annoying person, he always shows up when someone is having a good/bad time. When Tanaka is with Nakanojou, he'll always gripe when the weather is hot, and even when Nakanojou tries to stop his gripe, it just makes Nakanojou want to hit him.

He shares dorayaki with Sakurai when she wants to talk with him. He is seen to be in good terms with her.

Etymology
- The surname Tanaka means "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta) and "middle" (中) (naka), which literally means "dweller in the rice fields" altogether.
