The Policeman is a recurring character in the Nichijou series.
In Episode 16, the Policeman tries to investigate Mio's bag and was later knocked out by Mio with one hit.
The Policeman then appears in Episode 25, where he sees Mio saving a child who fell in a river when she ran after seeing Misato Tachibana holding hands with Koujirou Sasahara, who was her crush. He forgives Mio for knocking him out because she saved a child.
