
Sara J. Compton (d. 2024) wrote for Sesame Street from seasons 9 to 33 and also contributed lyrics to scores of songs. Previously, she was a writer for The Electric Company.
Her longtime partner was Edward Packard, creator of the Choose Your Own Adventure series of books.[1] Compton herself wrote two books in the series: book #114, Daredevil Park (1991; with her son, Spencer Compton), and the "Younger Readers" entry #50, Stranded! (1989).
