SCENE 1 Bob talks to Debo and Revy about how he can recognize someone’s voice without seeing them. Big Bird joins them (situating himself on Bob's lap) and they all imagine they're at a “sound zoo,” with animal sounds coming from the empty cages. The first cage has an invisible lion, the second one an elephant, and the third is a monkey. Big Bird has trouble guessing each one, but the last one is easy for him to recognize as it's the birds' cage.

Whenever it’s Cookie's turn, he tells Bob to go on because he wants to get to his “favorite part.” Bob ends up reciting the whole alphabet by himself, and Cookie says his favorite part is the end, where Bob gives him a cookie for his good work. Bob briefly teases Cookie about not having a treat for him before eventually giving in.
