SCENE 2 | Big Bird draws an E and F on the drawing board, with an arrow pointing to the E to show that he understands the difference now. He briefly leaves to find Gordon, and the line on the E disconnects itself and attaches itself to the F. Gordon compliments Big Bird on the attempt but is taken aback by his "perfidious penmanship." Big Bird is confused--he's sure he wrote the letters properly. The line on the E disappears as Big Bird has his back turned, making two F's. Big Bird is confused again when Bob comes around and compliments his two F's. The mischievous line finally reappears at the bottom of the E, and Big Bird's happy to know he was right all along but goes to his nest to lie down, just as the line disappears once again... |
