"Spinning Wheel" was a hit from the self-titled second album of Blood, Sweat & Tears in 1969.
In a Sesame Street insert, Gordon assists a "quiet" trio of Anything Muppets who perform the song. The band is comprised of Professor Goldfinch, Professor Hastings, and a Green drummer who also sang lead (Jim Henson). (First: Episode 0012)
The song was later performed by Teresa Brewer while Sweetums pushes her on a swing in episode 222 of The Muppet Show. The set decoration is reminiscent of Jean-Honoré Fragonard's painting The Swing.
