Jaguar is a digital and promotional only creature type for a race of large heavily built cats with a yellowish-brown coat with black spots. Jaguars in eternal legal cards normally fall under the Cat creature type.
History
Jaguar debuted as a creature type in the Microprose video game. It debuted on Aswan Jaguar which was originally part of the digital Astral set but was also printed as an oversized promotional card. As it was never printed in a legal set, the creature type never appeared in the Comprehensive Rules and technically never received errata but likely would have been errataed to be a cat. Two other jaguar cards were later printed as cats.
Several types of humanoid jaguar folk exist including some of the Cat Warriors of Dominaria, some Nacatl of Alara, and the Malamet of Ixalan.
