Garrett (ゲラット, Garetto) was an Earl-ranked noble of the Principality and was one of the Commanders of the Principality's Fleet which attacked the Holfort Academy students during their school trip.

Story Overview
Volume 2
Garret was leading the envoy when the principality declared on the Kingdom. Their initial plan was to take only the students from the families of baron rank or higher only from the cruise liner but Angelica deciding to sacrifice herself to save the rest, let the envoy take her as the only hostage, with Leon and Olivia against it. Hertrude greets Angelica when they arrived at the main ship, telling her that having her as the hostage will be enough and as they do not the others they can die, giving them an hour of time to give them the best fight as the nobility. The students decided to fight against, with Leon leading the charge towards the main ship to rescue Angelica, while the others protected the ship. Garrett then came to report to the princess that the monster their ship was on had eaten Leon. Angelica was terror stricken and glared at him, but to her relief Leon came through bursting through the monster was able to rescue and also take the Magic Flute and Hertrude as a hostage with Luxion singeing his moustache in the process. They quickly retreated declaring to the soldiers of the Principality to drop their weapons as he had taken their princess as hostage with Angelica feeling grateful to Leon who had come to rescue him. He quickly went to the cruise liner and let Hertrude and Angelica down, but to everyone's dismay Garrett had ordered all the ships to open fire with Hertrude using a spell to release the monsters out of her control so the monsters would attacked the one who was controlling, so the monsters began moving towards the liner as well. Garett had went to one of their other ships after their main ship had gone down, when Partner had come and began firing towards them and the monsters. When the soldiers wanted to retreat, he was against it, as he had already lost the Magical Flute and the princess to the kingdom and was going to be the one who will be blamed for this loss. Vandel then came to him telling him that he was going out there with his squadron. Leon had quite a hard fight against the Black Knight and the squadron he was leading but Leon was still able to win against them without killing anyone. Garrett seeing that they had no hope of winning decided to use the gun to call the beasts so that everyone would perish leaving no one alive, but to his dismay Luxion destroyed the last remaining monsters thus thwarting the invasion.
After Garrett and the soldiers being captured by them, with Leon gathering the Suspension Stones of their airships. He tried to ask Leon to return them back, but to his shock Leon told him that they needed compensation for them destroying the liner. Garrett then told that it should be done by an official negotiation, with Leon threatening him that he wanted Leon to compromise even though they had won against them and he was even letting off easy with Garrett having no way to refute it had to agree to the Suspension Stones being taken.
Volume 3
Garrett was present in one of the ships, when Princess Hertrauda was leading the invasion against the kingdom. When Princess Hertrude sent an Armor Piece, which she had taken from the kingdom's treasury, Garrett asked Vandel who was also present with him if he was ready to forfeit his life as this armor piece was a strong Lost Item that would make Vandel undefeatable.
Garrett had requested to be given thirty ships to lead a surprise attack under the pretense of rescuing Princess Hertrude, but his main objective was to get the Magic Flute which was in kingdom's possession. But Leon stopped them from accomplishing anything with him destroying and killing the principality's ships and soldiers with Garrett dying here as well.
