Quotes

Mii quotes

  • "Barrier! This barrier will keep us safe." (US) / "Barrier! Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." (EU) (Barrier skill)

Flavor text

  • "Sleeping!" / "[Mii] is sleeping!" (After a successful use of Sleep Tight)

Trivia

  • Mage Attacks & Skills
    • If a Mage uses Barrier, the Mage will say "This barrier will keep us safe." despite the fact it only protects the Mage. It was not fixed in the Nintendo Switch version.
      • This was “corrected” for the European English localization, where this line is instead "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst."
    • If the Mage is Laid-back, they show unique animations for the "Get Serious" and “Slack Off” personality quirks. These animations are shared with the Cleric job.
    • If a Mage uses Barrier, the barrier can be removed by Shield Sprinkles and the Juvenile Snurp's Crash Attack (Nintendo Switch version only).
    • Excluding Enlarge Weapon, Mages have unique auras surrounding them when they use a skill. The Cleric job also has a similar aura.
      • If the aura is yellow orange, the Mage will use Fire, Mega Fire, Tower of Flame, Explosion, Mega Explosion, or Giga Explosion.
      • If the aura is blue, the Mage will use Lightning, Mega Lightning, or Giga Lightning.
      • If the aura is yellow and green, the Mage will use Barrier.
      • If the Mage does not show any aura when they spread their arms, they will use Sleep Tight.
  • About the Class
    • The Mage, along with the Imp and the Vampire, are the only jobs to not cause a relationship boost or resentment towards another teammate via job skills.
    • The Mage is the only job in the game that has stats for levels above 50, and its stat growth goes up to level 99. At level 99, the Mage, without any stat bonuses, would have 559 HP, 425 MP, 90 Attack, 154 Defense, 564 Magic, and 198 Speed.
    • The Mage has the lowest level 50 HP, at 184, but it also has the highest level 50 magic, at 194.
    • The Mage’s Tower of Flame skill consumes the most MP compared to all other jobs, costing 50 MP per use.
      • The Mage is similarly the job that learns its last skill, Tower of Flame, the latest out of all other jobs, learning it at level 37.
  • Mage Equipment
    • The two rings holding up the bristles on the Broomstick change colors depending on the player’s color of clothing.
    • The Celebrity Robe is modeled after the Desert Celebrity's clothes in Neksdor Town.
      • Similarly, the Dancer’s Robe is based on the Dancing Guide's robes from the same town.
  • In promotional material, from Nintendo of Europe, the character used for the Mage's Official artwork is given the name "Emma", being described as the idea of importing "your sister". While some promotional material from Nintendo of America also uses this name for her, another name used for her is Quinn. The Nintendo of Europe official video: Miitopia – Mage Gameplay (Nintendo 3DS) depicts Emma as having the Energetic personality.
    • The official Japanese artwork for the Mage is slightly different from the Western artwork, featuring the Mii with solid black eyes and darker hair. This Mii is known as りん /Rin/. The "darker hair" difference is due to a lighting effect; both international and Japanese promotional videos shows Emma and Rin sharing the same hair color.
    • However, the Japanese Mii design (Rin's appearance) is shown in Miitopia - Adventure awaits your Tomodachi Life friends! (Nintendo 3DS) Promotional Video and there she's named Emma.
    • According to Official Promotional Material (artworks and videos) Eric the Warrior, Marie the Imp and Bro (aka Gene) the Genie of the Lamp are Emma's siblings; Ben the Tank is her father; Hugo the Chef is her grandfather; the Dark Lord shown in "Adventure awaits your Tomodachi Life friends!" video is her grandfather as well; Sarah the Cleric is her best friend; Mr. Peters (aka Sophie) the Great Sage is her teacher; Freddie (aka Reggie) the Greenhorne King is her head teacher and Mona the Greenhorne Princess is her classmate. All of them referring to the posibility the player has to cast people they know.
    • In the Switch version, the character is also used as the default Mii for the Scholarly Pioneer, albeit with a darker hair color and skin tone, as well as being renamed to “Reese” (Lara in the PAL versions).
