Filip Engstrom is a Swedish filmmaker. He directed Past is Prologue, the live-action commercial for Metroid: Other M. Engstrom is a director at an international production company called Smuggler, which produced Past is Prologue. Engstrom also directed two Wii Fit commercials for Nintendo with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.[1]
Engstrom's other work includes short films, children's television shows and puppetry in his home country of Sweden. In addition to the Other M commercial, his company created one for Wii Fit. His other clients have included AT&T, Target, Verizon, Honda and Toyota among others, and he was responsible for the Star Wars Battlefront marketing campaign.
