Doll

The Doll is a Regular Army artillery introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Information

The Doll is a purple, high-tech, latex bodysuit. First worn by Nadia, this suit was equipped with unknown weaponry. Tyra wears a similar yet sturdier suit with the added benefit of resurrecting by an electric resuscitator.

The Doll was later updated to be in line with the Metal Device. It has various external weapons and transport controlled by a nerve interface. Unfortunately, it also has the same drawback of depleting enormous amounts of energy. The current wearer, Fio, is always ravenously hungry.

Fio's Doll has two sets of jet thrusters, mechanical drill claws, and rear cannons each. Fio normally uses her jet thrusters to close in on the enemy before shredding them with her drill claws. Her rear cannons fire piercing shots at a small arc.

Fio's Doll is stun resistant. When attacked with stun-capable weapons, she instead raises her arms to block projectiles before firing two shots from her rear cannons.

The Doll's armored variant fires homing missiles as its standard attack and a solar flare that slowly drops down onto backline enemy units as its special attack. The solar flare deals continuous damage and stuns surrounding units. The armored Doll has low health, so Fio counters and dodges damage by charging a piercing drill for a long time and then unleashing it.

Trivia

• The Doll is reminiscent of the bodysuit used in the Gantz series.
• Like in Metal Slug Advance, Tyra is a sprite edit of Nadia, this time including a re-edit of the latter's jumping victory animation rather than implementing her unique salute animation. Special Tyra's sprite files have unedited Special Nadia sprites.
