Tackione

Tackione (タキオン, Takion) is a Limited-born Reploid who is the main antagonist of Rockman X Mega Mission 2. He was born from the Mother Limited's cells after it was nearly destroyed in Mega Mission, using Dr. Doppler's residual data to enter a new form.

Characteristics

Tackione has an intricate purple, red, and yellow Reploid body. He mimics Dr. Doppler's face, coat, and hands, but with one circular eyepiece and a translucent helmet over his head. His breastplate resembles the face of the Limited. He wields a buster called the Limit Smasher and a beam saber called the Saber Grap.

History

Two months after the fall of Dopple Town, the Mother Limited absorbed Dr. Doppler's residual data and was reborn as Tackione. He created the Order Breakers and a new set of Limited Reploids to attack X.

Tackione reveals himself to Zero after controlling X using the Replicapture. During the final showdown, having trouble in the fight against X and Zero, Tackione turns into a Repligigant similar to Mother Limited called Tackione - Final Mode. He is able to briefly overpower the Maverick Hunters, but is ultimately defeated by X wielding the Giga Armor and Z-Saber.

Etymology

• Tackione (タキオン, Takion) is derived from the word tachyon, which is a hypothetical kind of particle that moves faster than the speed of light and travels backwards through time.
