Dopple Town, known as Doppel Town (ドッペルタウン Dopperu Taun) in Japan, is a location from Mega Man X3 created in 21XX as an homage to the Reploid scientist Dr. Doppler, who could apparently use his Neuro Computer to suppress the Maverick Virus and irregularities, restoring Mavericks to normal.[1] Dr. Doppler was finishing a new vaccine program for the Sigma Virus, but a few months after Dopple Town's creation, Mavericks supposedly neutralized by his Neuro Computer began to riot, all intelligence pointing towards Dr. Doppler as the mastermind.[2] The anti-virus that Dr. Doppler had made available was revealed to be a placebo, and Dopple Town became the new headquarters of the Doppler Army.
