Sewage Stage

Sewage Stage (下水ステージ), also known as Pump Man's Stage[1] and Pump Man Stage,[2] is Pump Man's stage in Mega Man 10, set in a sewage system.

Description

Pump Man's Stage starts at the entrance of a sewage system. Mega Man will drop down to the bottom and fight off Haiker Ns that are attached to broken pipes to fight him. Sewage downpour will increase Mega Man's gravity and push him down into the water. After going through some platforming with the downpour while fending off Shrimparge 91s and Numetalls, he will reach a fork in the path. He can either go through more of the same platforming that he has been doing with the downpours and Haiker Ns or he can drop down or face a new obstacle, the Bubble Machine, that will release bubbles that Mega Man can get trapped in and try to force him into spikes. In the lower path, Mega Man will have to deal with a harsh current while he's underwater that also pushes the bubbles around. In the top path, after Mega Man deals with the downpour and Haiker N section, he will drop down and fight several Numetalls before the paths meet back up right before the boss gate.

On Easy Mode, there are increased amounts of items and many pits have been sealed off. The bubble generators activate slower and are fewer in numbers. Enemy density decreases.

On Hard Mode, both paths become more difficult and items decrease. The lower path has increased numbers of bubble producing machines, while the upper path makes platforming harder with the addition of new enemies, including Furaibons over pits. Enemy density increases on both paths.

Valuable pickups to look out for:

  • 1-UP: It can be found underneath a pipe only in the upper path that spouts downpour, so it is harder to grab it. Mega Man has to use Rush Coil to reach it.
  • Screw: Going down the lower path, Mega Man can find one in a room of R Suzies. 2 can be found in the upper path if Mega Man stays above water for the first section, he can take a ladder and grab them. He can also use Rush Coil if he uses the other path. Still going through the upper path, he can find another one by using Rush Coil in a section of Haiker Ns.

Trivia

  • While planning how the Mega Man 11 graphics should be, the developers tested the artistic style on Pump Man's stage and Stone Man's stage.
