This article is about the NetNavi MagicMan.EXE. For his anime counterpart, see MagicMan.EXE (anime). For his Robot Master counterpart, see Magic Man. |
MagicMan.EXE (マジックマン Majikkuman) is a NetNavi operated by Yahoot, with the both of them serving as members of the WWW. It is said he is the strongest Navi among the WWW[4].
Appearance
Whereas his Robot Master counterpart drew upon stage magicians for his look, MagicMan is modeled after the more "classical" wizard appearance and is garbed with a blue pointed hat and robe. He also has a moderate-length wizard style beard. His arms have red jewels at the ends instead of hands to act as a conduit for his attacks. The book on his back is a Tome of Cheating.[5]
History
Mega Man Battle Network
In the WWW base, he is the last obstacle faced by MegaMan before he confronts the Life Virus. The ensuing fight between both Navis leaves MegaMan victorious. However, to prevent MegaMan from reaching the Life Virus before its completed formation, Lord Wily gives Yahoot a piece of the Life Virus's data. The data reboots MagicMan and increases his strength exponentially. MagicMan fires a "Life Magic" attack at the unsuspecting MegaMan which critically damages MegaMan, requiring the Hub.BAT to be installed to save him. ProtoMan swiftly deletes MagicMan in a failed attempt to save MegaMan from the attack.
Anime

Much like his video game counterpart, MagicMan serves as the loyal and faithful NetNavi of Yahoot.
Abilities

MagicMan starts the battle with two special panels. These panels are where he summons his viruses from, and they cannot be stolen.
- Magic Fire (マジックファイア Majikku Faia):
MagicMan fires a slow-moving flame down his row.
- Virus Summon (ウイルス召喚[6][7] Uirusu Shōkan):
MagicMan disappears for a while, and reappears with two viruses summoned to his side of the field. Defeating MagicMan will immediately delete any remaining viruses.
- Life Magic (ドリームマジック Dorīmu Majikku, Dream Magic):
Story cutscene only. After being enhanced by bit data from the Life Virus, MagicMan uses this move to blast an electrified shot at MegaMan and knock him to the brink of deletion.
