Beetank, known as Kabutank (カブタンク Kabutanku) in Japan and Bugtank in Mega Man Battle Network 5, is a beetle-like virus from the Mega Man Battle Network series. When a Beetank fires its payload of bombs, its muzzle brakes flare similar to artillery (presumably operating with the same purpose to resist recoil) and the bombs themselves spread varying damage across the cyberfield depending on the variant's ability. Apart from varying degrees of explosion strength and pattern, some rarer Beetank variants can cause status ailments if hit by the detonation of a bomb. Beetank move vertically up and down the row they occupy, stopping only to fire or if a panel adjacent to them has been destroyed.

Trivia

- Beetank also appears in the Cyberspace of Mega Man Zero 3 when the player trades a chip with Mega Man Battle Network 4, replacing most of the ground enemies.
- Its name is a combination of beetle/bug/カブトムシ (kabutomushi, or in English the Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle) and タンク (tank). This virus borrows its appearance from its insect counterpart.
