Kukku (クック Kukku), also known as Atomic Chicken in the Mega Man 2 instruction manual for the U.S. and Cook in Mega Man: Anniversary Collection, is a forest reconnaissance robot that was modified by Dr. Wily to run wildly. It appears as an enemy near the end of Wood Man's stage in Mega Man 2 and Mega Man II. It appears endlessly running in an area, jumping at set intervals and attempting to collide with Mega Man to cause damage. It can be easily avoided by stopping as soon as one appears and moving forward when it jumps over Mega Man.
While being called a chicken, its body actually more closely resembles a roadrunner, though it possesses the comb (the chicken’s “mohawk”), wattle (its cheek “skin”), and tail of a chicken.
