The Monkey (サル Saru) Medal is a Medal introduced in the first Medarot game.

In the games

The Monkey Medal specializes in confusing the opponents.

Medarot

In both versions of the game, the Monkey Medal is obtained after defeating Typhoon in his hideout in the Shrine. Its attribute is Uses, being more compatible with Monkey Gong, and its starting Skill levels are better at Berserk, Support, and Defend.

Medarot 2

In both versions of the game, the Monkey Medal is one of six Medals given by Nae if the player visit her lab at set points during the game. However, it can be easily missed if not chosen when one or more of the set points to receive a Medal from Nae are missed.

In this game the Monkey Medal's attribute changed to Interrupt, and its starting Skill levels are better at Defend and Others. It has the Cranky personality, and its Medaforces, Two Numbers, Four Numbers, and Plus Counter, increases the number of uses of the head parts from all allies by 2, 4, or 6, respectively.

After completing the game, the Monkey Medal from the first game can be transferred to the second. Its name is written in hiragana (さる) and the starting skill levels are different, being similar to the original game and Medarot Parts Collection, but it has the same attribute and can learn the same Medaforces.

Medabots (GBA)

Like the original game, the Monkey Medal can be obtained with Nae in the GBA remake. However, its stats and Medaforces are different. The Monkey Medal from the first game is not available.

Medaforces

1. Chaos - Interrupt - Inflicts chaos status upon enemy (50)

2. Useless - Interrupt - Inflicts useless status upon enemy (50)

3. Cancel Flow - Berserk - Protect from flow status (60)

Medabots AX

Monkey Medal's Medaforce is Plus Counter, which recovers the number of users from head parts.

In the anime

Spyke has a Monkey Medal on his Cyandog and later on his Krosserdog. In the anime, Ikki states that the Monkey Medal specializes in wrestling, while the parts from Spyke's Medabot are specialized on Shooting, hindering his combat skills, but his skills improved during the time he stayed with the Rockers.

Besides Spyke's Medabot, a Monkey Medal was also seen on the Hakado from Shrimplips.
