Super Spring

A Super Spring^[1] is an object in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.

Description

A Super Spring is an upgrade of the Springboard that launches Mario (or Luigi) offscreen, allowing him to skip portions of a level. With the right timing, Mario can dash before jumping onto a Super Spring to travel even farther before landing. After some time, Mario or Luigi falls back down, but with improper timing, he is at risk of falling into a pit.

In Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels

A Super Spring first appears in World 2-1, followed by World 3-1, World 3-3, World 7-3, World B-1, World B-3, World C-2, and World C-3.

In the original Family Computer Disk System version only, Super Springs are colored teal in World 7-3.
