The Spear, also known as the Torpedo outside North America, is a heavy bike in Mario Kart Wii.
Description
The Spear resembles a Moto Guzzi V8 with exhaust pipes sticking out. The emblem is located on the front and sides of the bike.
The Spear is unlocked by unlocking 12 Expert Staff Ghosts in Time Trials, winning 200 WFC races (now impossible) or by playing 3,600 races.
Dry Bowser and King Boo use the Spear in a Time Trial course for the Expert Staff Ghost for Grumble Volcano and SNES Ghost Valley 2 by Nin★aki and Nin★sira■ respectively.
Its kart counterpart is the Jetsetter.
Statistics
The Spear is the fastest bike in the game and has a high weight stat tied with the Jetsetter and is the second heaviest bike in the game, but it also has a low acceleration stat tied with the Wild Wing and a low drift stat. Additionally, the Spear has the worst handling, off-road and mini-turbo stats among all bikes in the game. Its speed will increase if Funky Kong is used in it. If Waluigi is used in the Jetsetter, its drift stat will exceed that of the Daytripper and Magikruiser.
