The Soli-Tree is a location from Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is created after Mario and Luigi kill Zokket and rescue Cozette and Reclusa awakens, and lies at the centre of the location Concordia occupied, being used as the fiend's fortress. The tree is not named immediately, though its creator does come up with a few ideas to call it such as "darkwood" and "enmitree."
History
After Zokket's defeat, the Zokket Army's dark leader gives the last of his life energy to the egg that Reclusa is trapped in so it can reawaken. Reclusa reawakens and declares that it will snuff out all connection in favour of solitude, and the Soli-Tree is created from Fortress Zokket's remains. However, the Bros. and Cozette escape Fortress Zokket while the Soli-Tree grows, and Reclusa creates a barrier around its fortress. Cozette reveals that Bonds (one of which she and Connie give right away) can counteract the barrier. However, various cutscenes, including one where Connie becomes horrified when she hears of what is going on, imply that Cozette stormed the tree to face Reclusa and atone for her (actually Zokket's) crimes. After the Bros. get the last Bond, they get doused in energy from the Bonding Can and use Shipshape Island's Cannon to get to the Soli-Tree. The Bros. use the power absorbed from the Bonding Can to smash the barrier around the tree, starting their assault, while Connie tags along with them.
Mario and Luigi navigate the tree, finding an unconscious Cozette. Connie tends to her mentor's wounds while the Bros. charge ahead and prepare to face Reclusa, only to be mobbed by the fortress guards. They are saved by Bowser and continue to face off against Reclusa, who fuses with the Soli-Tree and unleashes a wave of Glohm to interrupt their assault, but Connie revives them with energy from the Bonding Can. The Bros. enter the tree and kill Reclusa, who disintegrates with the Soli-Tree collapsing without the fiend to sustain it.
Description and Layout
The Soli-Tree is a massive tree that was created as a mockery to the Uni-Tree. It doubles as a fortress and is littered with Glohm-powered monsters. Its insides have similar terrain to Zokket's fortress, and are littered with plant life. The tree's layout is divided into three levels.
Starting Area (Entrance)
When the Bros. reach the Soli-Tree, they will be confronted by some branches blocking the front door. They can destroy these branches via the Bro Bomb skill. There is a Warp Pipe that leads to the area with the final battle, but Mario and Luigi must use the Warp Pipe there to activate this area's Warp Pipe.
Lower Level
Southern Sleepspore Path
This is a narrow pathway through the tree that Reclusa's minions and Glohm-infused monsters patrol. Flowers can be found releasing spores. The Bros. should avoid these spores during their trek through the area; if a spore touches a Bro., the other Bro. is forced to find him and wake him up, and is also forced to fight on his own should he enter combat. The flowers that launch the spores will also block paths until their destruction, which is only possible with a Bro Bomb. The chamber housing this path is the south chamber of the Elevator Chamber.
Elevator Chamber
This chamber has eight paths branching from it. The south path leads back to the Sleepspore Path, with the other eight leading to chambers. There is an elevator in the middle; activation requires the Bros. to fill the slots surrounding it with lanterns. The first lantern is in the room immediately, with activation leading to the north chamber. The north chamber's lantern opens the west, east, and southeast rooms, with activating the lanterns there leading to the southwest, northwest, and northeast rooms becoming available. When the player activates all eight lanterns, the elevator will activate.
Lantern Chambers
Barring the south chamber, which holds the Sleepspore Path, the chambers surrounding the Elevator Chamber hold lanterns that must be brought to the Elevator Chamber and plugged into slots that form a ring around the elevator itself.
- North Chamber (Northern Sleepspore Path): A winding, narrow path filled with enemies and spore-releasing flowers. One holds the lantern.
- Northeast Chamber (Lantern Race Course): This chamber's lantern is on a platform. Upon hitting the switch, it must be raced to its destination using the Bros. Ball. Beating the lantern allows it to be retrieved.
- Northwest Chamber (Seesaw Chamber): This chamber has many seesaws. Obtaining the chamber's lantern requires hitting five purple Exclamation Mark Blocks, with Mario bouncing Luigi up with the seesaws to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
- East Chamber (Number Panel Chamber): Obtaining this lantern requires stepping on twenty-five numbered panels in the correct order.
- West Chamber (Spike Trap Area): This room has Spike Traps that must be spun over with the Spin Jump and electrical orbs that must be avoided. There is a switch that causes the platform holding the lantern to move to the right, and getting it requires making it to the other side and swiping the lantern from the platform before the platform retracts.
- Southeast Chamber (Gate Trap Chamber): The door leading to this room will seal itself upon entry, and access to the lantern requires carrying a plug around and placing it in outlets to open closed-off parts of the room. Enemies can be found here.
- Southwest Chamber (Flower Gate Chamber): This area has more monsters, flower gates that must be destroyed with Bro Bombs, and spore-releasing flowers.
Grampy Turnip Room
This is a secret room on the far left of the northwest chamber to the Elevator Chamber with eight Grampy Turnips and a secret area on top of that room with a ninth Grampy Turnip giving a hint on how to hit the nearby Exclamation Mark Block.
Middle Level
Collapsed Cozette
This area is a small chamber where the injured Cozette can be seen after she tried to fight Reclusa and was injured by the fiend. Her wounds are tended to by Connie.
Dream Flower Ambush
This area is very short, following the Collapsed Cozette area. Upon entry into this area, two of Reclusa's dream flowers ambush the Bros., trapping them in a fake Mushroom Kingdom. This ambush only occurs once; the Bros. can pass through unimpeded without getting caught on future visits.
False Mushroom Kingdom
This is a recreation of the Mushroom Kingdom, more specifically the area outside Princess Peach's castle, where she and her Mushroom Retainer subjects have made peace with Bowser and the Koopa Troop (although that did not actually happen). To leave, Mario and Luigi have to bop a variant of the Mystery Block with a backwards question mark. This must be repeated several times.
After the Bros. leave, this area cannot be revisited.
False Peach's Castle
This is a narrow hallway that marks the exit to the False Mushroom Kingdom. As the Bros. leave, a false Princess Peach will appear, trying to get them to stay longer. If refused thrice, she allows them to go back to the real world. This area cannot be revisited after the Bros. wake up from their delusion.
Upper Level
Reclusa Minion Mob Area
This is a straight path forward where the Bros. encounter a mob of Reclusa's soldiers. After defeating several, the Bros. get overloaded, but Bowser comes in, destroying several Reclusa-adjacent minions with his gunfire, much to the fiend's exasperation. Afterwards, the Bros. can continue through the path to commence the final battle. (The enemies cannot be fought here due to being knocked unconscious or dead by Bowser's attack.) The gate leading to the Doom Bloom Path has a Save Block, a Recovery Block, and a Warp Pipe leading back to the entrance.
Doom Bloom Path
During the first phase of Reclusa's battle, the Bros. ride on a plug-shaped hovercraft. This area is littered with Doom Blooms, which can only be fought if the Bros. collide with them. Mario throws Fireballs while Luigi throws magic snowballs, making this area a shoot-em-up zone. At the end is the Soli-Tree's main structure, where four more Doom Blooms appear at the start of the second phase of the fight. Progression requires freeing Snoutlet and using Luigi Logic to fly up to Weeping Reclusa's maw near the Soli-Tree's apex.
Soli-Tree Trunk Shooter Area
As with the Doom Bloom Path, the Bros. have to ride a plug-shaped hovercraft in a shoot-em-up segment. As the Bros. near Weeping Reclusa's maw, they must use a Bro Bomb to deflect a blob of dark energy.
Inside Weeping Reclusa
This location is visited starting from the third phase of the final battle. Reclusa transforms into the Weeping Core when it realises that Mario and Luigi have entered Weeping Reclusa. Upon having its health drained during phase 4, the fiend destroys the floor, leading to the Free-Fall Area.
Free-Fall Area
This area plays host to the final phase of the final battle, where Mario and Luigi have to bash Reclusa's head with their hammers to finish it off for good before impact with the ground.

Behind the Scenes
Etymology
The Soli-Tree's finalised name comes from combining the word "tree" with either "solitary" or "solitude." One of Reclusa's proposed names, "Enmitree," comes from the word "enmity" (hatred, hostility) and "tree."
