Snowflake Lake is a Party Mode board in Mario Party 6.
Layout
Snowflake Lake is a snow/ice-themed board. It should already be noticed that there are no Stars on this board. Instead players are given 5 Stars each (or 10 on Team Mode). (That is, if not counting handicaps.) Then they must use Chain Chomps to steal stars from other players. However, DK Spaces is the only way where new stars can be added. (A variation of the mechanic was reused for the boards Pyramid Park and Bowser's Warped Orbit in Mario Party 7 and 8.)
There are four normal Chain Chomps. In the day, Chain Chomp rides are 20 coins and roll 1 Dice Block (for 1-10 spaces). But in the night, the rides are 1 Dice Block (1-10 spaces) for 10 coins, 2 Dice Blocks (2-20 spaces) for 20, and 3 Dice Blocks (3-30 spaces) for 30.
Day
Not much is different in the day except the Freezie-like roadblocks are still melted and the happening space issues an ice skating game.
Night
The Freezie-like enemies are now up and block off certain paths forcing players to take the long way around. The happening space in the middle also changes to a snowball fight rather than the ice skating game.
Happening Spaces
- Landing on one of the Happening Spaces issues an ice skating game if it's day or a snowball fight during the night. For the ice skating game, players must slide around the ring and collect coins. They must be careful not to run into each other or they will be stunned for a few seconds. For the snowball game, players must throw snowballs at each other knocking out his/her coins then collecting them.
- Another happening space activates a large snowball that will capture players and sends them back to start.
Trivia
- Snowflake Lake is very similar to Chilly Waters from Mario Party 3.
