ROB-BLS is one of R.O.B.'s karts in Mario Kart DS, the others being the Standard RB and ROB-LGS.
Description
It resembles R.O.B.'s block set used in Stack-Up, with five colored trays; red, green, white, yellow and blue.
In Mario Kart DS
It has the highest top speed along with Bowser's Hurricane, average acceleration, high handling (which is a unique trait for a heavyweight character), but has extremely low drift, and a low Item stat. Also this is one of the best karts for snaking, along with Luigi's Poltergust 4000, Yoshi's Egg 1 and Dry Bones' Dry Bomber. However, it is probably the one of the worst karts to do snaking with, as it has less acceleration and off-road speed.
Its handling rivals Luigi's Streamliner and Toad's Mushmellow. It shares its low items stat with all other characters' lighter karts.
This kart is very popular in Time Trials due to its top speed, and unique stat, so that is why world record beaters in Mario Kart DS always use this kart for beating world records.
Luigi and Wario can use the ROB-BLS early on by completing all 150cc Nitro or Retro Grand Prix cups, as R.O.B. must be unlocked in Mirror Class first. Then, all racers can use the ROB-BLS once all cups in Mirror Mode have been completed.
There is also a regional difference with the ROB-BLS, ROB-LGS and R.O.B. himself. The karts and R.O.B. use a white and red pallette in the Japanese version of Mario Kart DS, while in North America and other regions, they use a shade of light and dark gray.
R.O.B. uses this kart as the staff ghost for Rainbow Road, with the alotted time of 2:16:246.
