Glide Guys are a variant of Shy Guy and an enemy in Yoshi's Island DS.

Profile

Physical description

Glide Guys bear the appearance of a Shy Guy but with an umbrella protruding from their head.

Behavior

They can glide in tough amounts of wind, similar to Baby Peach can with her parasol. A Glide Guy floats for a few seconds in the air after jumping. If a Yoshi jumps onto a Glide Guy, it loses its umbrella and becomes a regular Shy Guy, which can be defeated can then be jumped on again to be defeated. Furthermore, a Yoshi instantly swallow a Glide Guy to convert it into an egg.
