Outside of the franchise, there has been a remix made titled Gomakashi (Aiobahn Remix).

Sequence

The opening begins with a shot of a cherry blossom tree and Iroha in her room as the screen turns white with colorful raindrops leading up to the show title.

A drop is shown and then Iroha with Small Kyubey lookin to the sky, as they walk up a street and a car of Kyubeys passes them, with the weather transitioning to rain. Then, Iroha starts running some downstairs until she falls from them. Yachiyo comes to help her get holding an umbrella. Then, shots occur from various main characters, Tsuruno at Banbanzai, Rena. Kaede and Momoko at an arcade trying their luck, Felicia sliding down a stair rail, Sana with various animals, Mitama laying on a couch, the Holy Quintet together, Alina Gray in a basement and Small Kyubey jumpin on the screen. Iroha's Soul Gem is screened before showcasing her and her Magical Girl spirit fusing into her Magical Girl form.

Trivia

  • The Cherry blossom that appears at the beginning could be a reference to the Rumor of the Ten-Thousand-Year Sakura.
  • The rain scene of Iroha and Yachiyo could reflect to Yachiyo's water powers.
  • Rena, Kaede and Momoko's scene depicts them in a claws machine, which is one of Kaede's hobbies and the place she met Rena.
  • The background in Felicia's scene appears to be based on a cow, which is coincidentally Felicia's favourite animal.
  • Sana is shown with many cats in her scene. Coincidentally, her favourite childhood animated series focusing around a cat named "Mr. Pursss-a-lot".
  • In Holy Quintet's scene, a blood moon is above Madoka and Homura. In ancient civilizations, blood moon was considered an omen of death.
    • Even though Madoka appears only once in a flashback and Homura debuts in episode 14, they're included in the opening sequence.
  • In episode 8, the song plays a little earlier than the actual sequence as an insert song in the radio that plays in Iroha's room. As a result, the opening sequence starts with the show's title scene instead and in the final scene, the voice of the drama actor is audible.
