Alina Gray (アリナ・グレイ?) is one of the main antagonists in Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story.
Bio
Appearance
Alina Gray has long straight lime hair with a yellow highlight and the side parts of her hair tied in a ribbon. She has turquoise eyes and she is mostly seen in her school uniform, where she has attached a small bag with art tools around her waist and wears two red bracelets in her right wrist, where she has rolled up the sleeves.
As a Magical Girl, her outfit consists of two black boots and a rainbow dress with a huge black ribbon on her waist. She also wears a police officer's hat that strongly resembles a warden and has scrunchies on her wrists. Her Soul Gem is on her ribbon at the throat.
Personality
A Magical Girl who is trying to create a world where no one has to become a Witch, Alina is an artistic genius obsessed with life and death who pours herself into her work, dreaming of making masterpieces featuring Witches themselves. She's used herself as a subject for her art when in a creative slump.
Alina is a teasing, haughty, and arrogant teenage girl. Callous and reckless, Alina believes murder to be an art, frequently laughing and making light of other's misfortunes and pain. In addition, Alina is quick to anger when things do not go her way. She is very protective of her art as well, even if she initially did not care for them.
Etymology
Alina (アリナ?) is of Germanic root and means "light".[1]
Gray (グレイ?) is an intermediate color between black and white.[2]

Abilities
- She can create barriers. One notable instance includes the Automatic Purification System.
- She is able to contain Witches, Familiars, and their own Labyrinths within the cubes of her weapon, which are able to be given to and used by others to release and capture whatever is imprisoned inside.
- The paint her Doppel creates is capable of making whoever comes in contact with it go crazy.
Trivia
- Alina goes to the same school as Karin, but doesn’t know that they are Magical Girls of each other until Wings of the Magius is defeated.
- It's observed that her design might symbolize a prison along with Touka and Nemu, with her Magical Girl outfit resembling a warden.
- Her origins are confusing. Her Magical Girl Story states that she's born in Sakae Ward of Kamihama City but her name is of foreign origins, which implies that either her parents or grandparents are from another country.
- Alina often infuses "Engrish", refering to a Japanese accent when speaking English, in her speech. In English adaptions, it is changed to Italian.
