Tindómiel was the second child and only daughter of Elros Tar-Minyatur, Half-elf and the first King of Númenor.
She was born after SA 61 and was the sister of Manwendil, Atanalcar, and the short reigning King Vardamir Nólimon. Nothing else is known of her life or whether she married and had children.[1]
In The Nature of Middle-earth J.R.R. Tolkien considered making the children of Elros Half-elves, gaining the same choice of mortality as the children of Elrond.[2] Whether he adopted this idea fully is unclear.
Etymology
The name Tindómiel means "Morning Star" from the Quenya tindome ("twilight of dawn") and el ("star").[3] It may also mean "Daughter of Twilight" from the feminine suffix -iel.
