The Teds are ground squirrels.
After forcibly ousting Timon and Pumbaa from their favorite napping spot, the Teds set up their own club and barred the duo entry. In an effort to get the two killed, the Teds sent them on several missions to harass a nearby savage lion. Eventually, the savage lion caught on to the Teds' act and attacked them in retribution.
Biography
Early life
The Teds lived in the jungle.[1]
Foundation of Club Ted!

While Timon and Pumbaa were relaxing next to a pond under a shady tree, the Teds showed up and took over the area by building a fence. They proceeded to kick out Timon and Pumbaa, and made their own club called "Club Ted." Afterward, the blue Ted informed Timon and Pumbaa that they were not welcome in their club unless their names were Ted. This gave Timon an idea.
Shortly after the encounter, Timon knocked on the door of the fence and told the Teds that he and Pumbaa were both named Ted. The Teds informed the two that in order to join their club, they had to complete an initiation task: put jingly bells around the neck of a savage lion who lived in Savage Rock. Unbeknownst to Timon and Pumbaa, the Teds were secretly hoping that the savage lion would eat them.

After Timon and Pumbaa successfully convinced the savage lion to put on the jingly bells, they returned to the Teds and told them that they had completed the task, to the ground squirrels' surprise and dismay. In order to put off initiating Timon and Pumbaa, the Teds suggested that the duo produce proof that the jingly bells were on the savage lion. Thus, Timon and Pumbaa had to return to Savage Rock.
When Timon and Pumbaa got to Savage Rock, Timon set an alarm clock on the savage lion's desk. The clock rang, and the savage lion woke up, put the jingly bells on a hanger, and got in the shower. With the savage lion distracted, Timon and Pumbaa snuck inside to take the jingly bells. Their prize in hand, the duo returned to the Teds, but the ground squirrels simply made up another task for them to complete: put a suit on the savage lion.

A frustrated Timon and Pumbaa went back to Savage Rock dressed as telegram guys. The two gave the savage lion a telegram, and he read the letter, which told him that he must wear a suit. Just then, Timon and Pumbaa showed up dressed as suit designers and put a suit on the savage lion. The savage lion liked the suit but soon became suspicious, as he recognized Timon and Pumbaa from earlier. This prompted him to start attacking the duo.
After the attack, Timon and Pumbaa returned to the Teds in a huff. The Teds started to send them back to the savage lion to take the suit off him, but Timon and Pumbaa refused to do so and revealed that they had brought the savage lion with them this time. The savage lion then realized that it was the Teds who had kept sending Timon and Pumbaa to bother him, and so he started attacking the ground squirrels in retribution. Meanwhile, Timon told Pumbaa that he would never join a club that would not accept him as a member, and Pumbaa agreed.[1]
Physical appearances
The Teds are short, squat, and chubby. They have brightly colored fur, red noses, and buck teeth.[1]
Personalities and traits
The Teds are rude, selfish, and overbearing. They do not seem to care about the property of others, as they took over Timon and Pumbaa's favorite napping spot in order to build their own club. They can be quite conniving, deceptive, and ruthless; in order to get rid of Timon and Pumbaa, they instructed the duo to harass a savage lion in the hopes that the two would perish in doing so.[1]
