While looking around the Tree of Life's territory, Beshte found Cek and Rama climbing up and down cliff faces and was impressed by their skills. As he turned to leave, he inadvertently caused rocks to rain down on them, and they nearly fell off the cliff face. Afterwards, they resolved to complain about "Poa the Destroyer" to the Night Pride. Alongside other animals who had been terrorized by Beshte, the mountain goats reported his behavior to Baliyo.

In an attempt to help Beshte win back the locals' trust, the Lion Guard and the Night Pride invited them to the Tree of Life. After the animals had been gathered, Beshte approached with Pinguino on his back, and the penguin revealed that Beshte had saved his life, which cleared the hippopotamus's name. Their faith in Beshte restored, the gathered animals started up a chant of "Poa!" for him.[1]

Janna's death and Rani's coronation

It's okay.
―Rama comforts an infant, after Queen Janna's death[src]

Several mountain goats gathered outside the Tree of Life as Queen Janna lay, dying. Before long, Makini announced the queen's death to the crowd, and they reacted with sorrow. Later, several mountain goats attended Janna's funeral at the Willows as well as Rani's coronation at the Tree of Life.[2]

Battle for the Tree of Life

Makucha and his army attacked the residents of the Tree of Life, including some mountain goats. Before they could harm anyone, Kion used the Roar of the Elders to gather them into a tornado and send them far away from the Tree of Life.[3]

Kion's coronation

Several mountain goats attended Kion's wedding to Rani at the Tree of Life.[4]

Physical characteristics

Mountain goats are moderately sized mammals. They possess shaggy coats in varying shades of brown, cream, and tan. They can have brown or green eyes. Both sexes have curled horns on their heads.[1]
