Haraka, haraka!
―Kasi's catchphrase[src]

Kasi is a female lion. She is a member of Simba's pride. She currently serves as the Fastest member of the Lion Guard.

Initially, Kasi lived in the Outlands in exile from the Pride Lands. However, after the reunification of the Outsiders and Simba's pride, she became a member of the Lion Guard under the command of Vitani. When Kion's Lion Guard returned from the Tree of Life, Kasi took part in the Battle of the Lion Guards, which determined which group would have the right to protect the Pride Lands. Though she lost her individual challenge to Fuli, Kasi's team emerged victorious, thus officially making her and her teammates the legitimate Lion Guard.

Biography

Early life

Kasi lived in the Outlands as a member of Zira's pride. She and her fellow pride members lived in exile from the Pride Lands due to their support of Scar's reign. However, after the Outsiders reformed and were reintegrated into Simba's pride, Kasi was appointed to be the Fastest member of Vitani's self-formed Lion Guard.[1]

Battle of the Lion Guards

Ha! Too slow!
―Kasi mocks Azaad[src]

Not long after the prides merged, Kion's Lion Guard entered the Outlands. Vitani mistook them for enemies and launched into battle against them. Kasi was chased by Azaad but was able to dodge his attacks. She was then chased by Fuli, but with Tazama's help, she found a tree and jumped out of Fuli's reach. Kion was about to use the Roar of the Elders to finish off Vitani and her Guard when Kiara appeared with Kovu and explained that the Outsiders had joined the Pride Landers. Though confused, Kion halted his attack, which stopped the battle.

Return78

The next morning, the Lion Guard entered the Lair of the Lion Guard, only to find that Vitani and her Guard were already within. The two groups argued about who should be the Lion Guard, as both Vitani and Kion had the right to lead. Just then, Laini approached, begging for help, and both Lion Guards rushed off to assist her.

The groups followed Laini to where Thurston was stuck in a hole. The two Lion Guards argued over who should rescue Thurston, but Azaad advised Thurston to free himself. Kion commented that they must sort out their problems in order to avoid quarreling. Thurston suggested a competition to determine which team was better, and both Lion Guards agreed to the challenge.

Return347

Kasi spent most of the competition watching her teammates compete in their challenges. When Imara won her competition against Beshte, Kasi cheered and congratulated her teammate for winning the first round. For the next challenge, Kasi raced against Fuli through a large canyon. In the first phase of the challenge, Fuli allowed Kasi to run ahead of her. When they got close to the finish line, Fuli easily ran past Kasi, which resulted in her loss. After losing, she returned to her team in defeat.

During the final challenge between Vitani and Kion, Vitani called for a mashindano, even though Kion pointed out that she stood no chance against the Roar of the Elders. Seeing Vitani's bravery, Kion forfeited the match and declared her and her team to be the new Lion Guard. Along with her teammates, Kasi was pleased at this news and proudly celebrated her team's victory. When Vitani used the Roar of the Elders for the first time, signifying her official leadership of the Guard, Kasi enthusiastically cheered for her leader.[1]

Physical appearance

Kasi is small and slim, with a lithe build. Her fur is brownish-gray, while her chest, muzzle, and paws are pale gray. Both her ear and eye rims are darker shades of gray, and she has dark spots on her legs and sides. She has lavender eyes and a head tuft.[1]

Personality and traits

Fuli: Seriously?
Kasi: Yes. Seriously.
—Kasi and Fuli, during a dispute between their Lion Guards[src]
Return299

Much like her predecessor Fuli, Kasi is confident, determined, and proud. She takes great pleasure in her skills, particularly her speed and agility, and enjoys being faster than her adversaries. This confidence, however, can make her cocky and smug. She has a tendency to underestimate her opponents and overestimate her own limits, such as when she lost a race to Fuli.

Kasi is proud to be a member of the Lion Guard. Despite Kion's Guard initially possessing the marks of the Guard, she and her teammates refused to back down. Kasi in particular was quite aggressive during confrontations between her team and Kion's. Despite her flaws, Kasi is a determined and dutiful member of the Lion Guard. She happily accepts help from her teammates and is grateful for their aid. She hates to disappoint her friends and does not make excuses for herself if she fails.[1]
