Personality
Being so young, the Young Hare is easily frightened by scary stories. She is very curious and confident, promising Rafiki that his story won't scare her. Despite her confidence, it is easily broken.
Young Hare is listening to a story told by Rafiki along with Young Rhino, Mtoto, the Porcupine Brothers and most of the Lion Guard. She is curious when Rafiki mentions a creature known as the Zimwi. She asks what that is and he explains the creature, ending with the fact that they only come out on a full moon. Bunga shows them the full moon that very night and Young Hare starts to slink back in fear. Some nearby bellowing frightens her, though it is revealed to be Beshte who is practising his bellows in anticipation of an audition with The Bellow Fellows. They youngsters ask Rafiki to continue his story and, despite Young Hare's fears, she conceals them in a bid to get the story out from Rafiki. He then sings them the tale of the creature, which scares her severely. After the story, Rafiki ushers them all to bed. Kion tries to reassure them that it's just a story but, noticing their fear when the wind howls, he suggests that the young animals sleep together that night. She does so, locating a clearing and sleeping with Young Rhino and Mtoto. But Young Hare is awoken by Young Rhino, who claims to have seen the Zimwi. She and Mtoto glance in the same direction and notice the same thing, and the group run all the way to Hakuna Matata Falls to ask for the Lion Guard's help.As they explain what they saw, Timon and Pumbaa frighten them to get their attention. Timon tells a tale of a supposed encounter with the Zimwi, but Kion is still dubious, pointing out flaws in the story. Despite his efforts to dispel their fears, he is unable to change their mind. To make them feel better, he takes the Lion Guard out to locate the Zimwi, which turns out later to be the Porcupine Brothers.
