Toads

Toads are amphibians that appear in The Lion Guard universe. They live in the Pride Lands.

Appearance

African toads undergo a life cycle similar to metamorphosis in butterflies. They hatch from their eggs into tadpoles with gills before growing limbs and have their gills replaced with lungs.

Information

Toads are often found near rivers and in moist grasslands. They make croaking sounds to communicate with others of their kind. Toads feed primarily and insects and other small invertebrates.

History

Beshte and the Hippo Lanes

A toad named Chura hitched a ride on the back of Beshte through the Flood Plains, who gladly takes him to his destination while singing Makin' Hippo Lanes.
