Golden moles are small, chubby mammals with brown-gold fur, pink noses and feet, as well as short, stubby tails. They also have small eyes that are covered in fur, which makes them completely blind.

Golden moles have yellow fur with light underbellies, red noses, and brown claws.

In the Real World
Golden moles have acute senses of hearing and smell to interact with their surrounding environments, and their sharp claws help them in tunnelling underground. They feed primarily on insects, worms, as well as small lizards and snakes on the occasion.

Golden moles are very territorial and will attack anything that tries to steal their tunnels.
History
The Underground Adventure
Kion, Bunga, Kiara, Tiifu and Zuri are forced to go underground when Mzingo created a fire around the Mud Pots. As they try to navigate through the tunnels, they are ambushed by a golden mole named Kuchimba. When Kuchimba realized that the five mean no harm, he apologizes and offers to help them in getting back to the surface, while at the same time, helps Tiifu in overcoming her fear of the dark.
