Gotou (後藤, Gotō) is a veteran Adventurer and the mentor of Asaka and Kunihiko.
Synopsis
Gotou is an experienced A-Rank Adventurer. His hometown is near Fort Okun at the base of the Mystic Mountains.
Gotou witnessed the destruction of the Adventurers guild in the Mystic Mountains at the hands of Wrath. He also recognized Ariel as a Demon when the group was stopped by the guild due to Wrath.
Asaka and Kunihiko later ran into him in a village near the mountains, following the destruction of their home at the hands of Merazophis. Kunihiko mistook Gotou as a Reincarnation due to his unusual sword, but plead for him to become their mentor anyway.
He also participated in The Great Human-Demon War alongside his protégés and other top-class Adventurers.[1]

- The surname Gotou means "rear, remainder" (後) (go) and "wisteria" (藤) (tou).
