Whee In (휘인) is an independent South Korean singer-songwriter. She is a member of the girl group MAMAMOO.
She made her solo debut on April 17, 2018 with the digital single "Magnolia".
Career
2014: Debut with MAMAMOO
On June 19, 2014, Whee In debuted as a member of MAMAMOO with their first mini album Hello.
2018: Solo debut
She made her solo debut on April 17, 2018 with the digital single "Magnolia".
2021: Redd, departure from RBW, new agency
On April 2, 2021, RBW announced she would release her first mini album Redd on April 13.[1]
On June 11, it was announced that she had officially left RBW as her contract had expired and she decided not to renew. However, she would still continue to promote as a member of MAMAMOO until December 2023.[2]
On August 31, she was revealed to be the second artist to join THE L1VE.[3]
2022: Whee, D-Day
On December 25, 2021, THE L1VE announced she would release her second mini album Whee on January 16.[4]
On April 7, 2022, THE L1VE announced she would release her first special single "D-Day" on April 17.[5]
2023: In the Mood
On September 20, 2023, THE L1VE announced she would release her first full-length album In the Mood on October 12.[6]
2024: Wheee, Coco Water, departure from THE L1VE
On January 4, 2024, THE L1VE announced she would embark on her first world tour "2024 Whee In 1st World Tour : Whee In The Mood [Beyond]" starting on February 24 in Seoul.[7]
On February 14, THE L1VE announced she would release her fourth digital single "Wheee" on February 15.[8]
On July 8, THE L1VE announced that she would release her fifth digital single "Coco Water", on July 12.[9]
On August 3, it was announced that she had left THE L1VE after her contract had expired.[10]
