Ailee (에일리) is a South Korean-American singer–songwriter under A2Z Entertainment. Based in South Korea, she debuted on February 8, 2012 with the single "Heaven".
On January 7, 2017, she made her American debut with the single "Fall Back" under the stage name A.Leean.
Career
2019: Departure from YMC, Butterfly, new agency
On March 25, it was revealed that Ailee's exclusive contract with YMC Entertainment had expired on February 28 following unsuccessful renewal negotiations. However, Ailee explained that she would continue to work with YMC on her new album Butterfly, which was released on July 2, and will leave the label once album promotions have ended.[5]
On September 10, Ailee announced that she will managed by her own one-man agency called Rocket3 Entertainment.[4] In November, Ailee revealed that she is preparing to enter the American market and will be releasing the seasonal track "Sweater" on December 12.[6]
2020: Good Girl and I'm
From May 14 to July 2, she appeared on Mnet's reality survival show Good Girl.
On September 28, Rocket3 confirmed that Ailee would be making a comeback on October 6 with the mini album I'm.[7]
2021: THE L1VE, Amy
On July 22, 2021, Ailee was revealed as the first artist to join THE L1VE, a new label founded by Ravi.[2]
It was confirmed on October 14 that she would be returning with her third studio album Amy on October 27.[8]
2022: I'm Lovin' Amy, change of agency
On March 7, 2022, Ailee released her first English studio album I'm Lovin' Amy.[9]
On July 29, THE L1VE announced her departure from the label.[3] On July 31, A2Z Entertainment announced that Ailee had signed on with the agency.[1]
2025: (Me)moir
On February 21, Ailee posted a mood photo with the caption "Coming Soon".[10] On February 24, the scheduler was released, announcing her 7th mini album, (Me)moir, which is set to be released on March 20, 2025.[11]

Relationship
On March 19, 2024, A2Z Entertainment shared that Ailee is in a relationship with a non-celebrity boyfriend. Moreover, the couple plan on getting married the following year.[12] On May 14, her boyfriend was revealed to be businessman and former actor Choi Si Hun, who is best known for partaking on the reality dating show Single's Inferno.[13]
On November 19, A2Z Entertainment announced that the couple will be getting married on April 20, 2025.[14]
