myB (마이비) was a six-member girl group under Maroo Entertainment. They debuted on August 25, 2015 with their first digital single "My Oh My".
Their name stands for "You're my Best", expressing the group's ambition to become the best in the music industry.[1]
On December 14, 2016, it was announced that the group had disbanded.
Career
2015: Debut with "My Oh My", Hayoon's addition, First comeback with "Ddoddo"
On August 25, 2015, myB made their official debut with their first digital single "My Oh My". The lineup consisted of Heejoo, Ujung, Moonhee, G-Won and Jookyung.[2]
On November 13, the group made their first comeback with their second digital single "Ddoddo" and revealed Hayoon as their new member.[3]
2016: Disbandment
After being inactive for the entirety of 2016, on December 14, 2016, Maroo Entertainment announced that the group had disbanded and announced their plans to debut a new girl group including members Moonhee and Hayoon.[4]
Aftermath
- Moonhee and Hayoon remained under Maroo Entertainment and re-debuted in the company's new girl group BONUSbaby in 2017. In late 2017, they both participated in the survival show MIXNINE, where Hayoon ranked #11 and Moonhee ranked #6 among the female contestants. BONUSbaby presumably disbanded in July 2020, after 2 years of inactivity.
- Heejoo joined Ho1iday (later known as API) in 2018 as one of their original members. After the group's departure from BRICKWORKS Company in 2020, she was assigned as the CEO of the group's own agency called Girl Group API.[8] After the group's disbandment, she started working as an actress.[9]
- Ujung participated in the survival show Idol School in 2017 and ranked #29. In 2018, she joined Ho1iday (later known as API) as their final member, under the stage name Haru.
- Jookyung later changed her legal name to Lee Linha. She joined DOUBLE V Entertainment in 2021.[10] She's currently working as an actress, under the name Lee Yookyung and Lee Linha.[11]
- G-Won auditioned for MIXNINE in 2018, representing DOUBLE V Entertainment, but did not pass the audition. She later joined WITCHERS as their third member in July 2021, under the stage name Saebom.[12]
