Lee Saerom (이새롬; or simply Saerom) is a South Korean singer, lyricist, dancer and actress. She is the former leader of the girl group fromis_9.
Career
2014: Dancing 9
In June 2014, she was a contestant on the second season of Dancing 9.
2017–2018: Idol School and debut with fromis_9
In July 2017, she became a contestant in Idol School, and finished the competition in third place, thus becoming a member of fromis_9.[2]
The group made their official debut on January 24, 2018 with their first mini album To. Heart.
2025: Acting career
On February 10, 2025, it was reported exclusively by IZE that Lee Saerom is aiming to be an actress to fulfill her dream since she was 13 years old, following the conclusion of her contract with Pledis Entertainment and subsequently departing from fromis_9. She is still meeting with acting agencies and hasn't singed with one exclusively yet.[3][4]

Relationship
On October 20, 2022, rumors spread online claiming that Lee Saerom is currently dating AKMU member Lee Chanhyuk. YG Entertainment stated that they can not confirm it as it is the artist's private life, while Pledis Entertainment did not comment on the matter.[5]
On January 21, 2025, it was reported that the couple broke up last year after about a year of dating. YG Entertainment refrained from confirming the rumors, citing artist's privacy.[6]
Hiatus
On October 28, 2022, Pledis announced that Saerom and Seoyeon would be going on a hiatus due to health reasons.[7]
