Elly (엘리; formerly romanized as LE) is a South Korean rapper-songwriter and producer under TR Entertainment. She is the main rapper of the girl group EXID.
Career
Pre-debut
During her pre-debut years, Ahn Hyojin, who goes by the name, 'Elly', has been participating as an underground rapper where she was the only female member of Jiggy Fellaz, a hip-hop crew that had Basick, Sleepy and Simon Dominic as its former members. She was also the rap teacher and a close friend of HyunA.
2012: Debut with EXID
She debuted as a member of EXID on February 16, 2012 with the group's first digital single "Holla".
2020: Departure from Banana Culture
On March 25, 2020, she announced via Instagram that she had terminated her contract with Banana Culture, becoming the final member of EXID to depart from the agency.[1]
2023: New agency
On April 17, 2023, it was announced that she had signed an exclusive contract with Shinsadong Tiger's record label TR Entertainment and is expected to make her debut as a soloist.[2]
