Sectors are teams of KND operatives, which usually handle kid-related affairs in their particular area. All sectors have associated with them code letters, usually corresponding to the geographical location of the sector. Only KND Global Command knows how many sectors there are, with even sector leaders not knowing each other (like when Numbuh 1 visited England in Operation: E.N.G.L.A.N.D.). However, being a global organization, the KND has sectors in every state, country and town.[1]
Not all sectors are currently in operation, however; for instance, all five members of Sector Z became the Delightful Children From Down The Lane after a serious accident from the Delightfulization Chamber and a treehouse was shown abandoned in Operation: R.E.C.R.U.I.T..
The sector headquarters are located in treehouses, found in oversized trees growing either up from, or really close to, the home of the sector's leader. Whenever a sector change their official leader, but not just temporary like in Operation: F.E.R.A.L., their treehouse is moved to that new leader's home.[2]
Trivia
- According to Numbuh 65.3 in Sooper Secrets and Boomerang Bloopers; the largest treehouse is in a redwood tree in California (Central Bike Hub) and the smallest is in a bush in Georgia.
- Some sectors are identified by codes including several letters, such as CP, ES, HH, HHH, PDQ, PHD and PR.
- Y is the only letter that was never officially confirmed to identify any sector.
